ICDP (International Child Development Programme) is a simple, health-promoting and preventive programme that aims to strengthen the care and upbringing of children and young people. It is aimed at caregivers and is intended to strengthen their caregiving skills.
The program offers 8 principles for healthy and harmonious interactions, that are categorized in 3 dialogues and mimics the house building process.
Our 5 in-person meetings are built on the same principle - we will explore the ground, the foundation, floors, and the roof and will engage and practice emotional, meaning-making, and regulative dialogues.
ICDP was developed by Professor Karsten Hundeide and Professor Henning Rye at the University of Oslo in the 1990s and is now practiced worldwide.
